Connect Custom Domain

Follow this guide to point your domain to wCard.io by updating DNS records at your domain registrar (for example, GoDaddy).

1) Open your domain’s DNS settings
  1. Log in to your domain registrar account (where you bought the domain).
  2. Select your domain to open Domain Settings.
  3. Find DNS / Manage DNS / DNS Records (wording varies by registrar).

2) Add the required DNS records
A Record (root/apex domain)
Create a new A record:
  • Type: A
  • Host / Name: @ (some registrars show this as “leave empty”)
  • Value / Points to: 165.232.181.150
  • TTL: 10800 (3 hours)
This connects yourdomain.com (the main/root domain) to wCard.
CNAME Record (www subdomain)
Create a new CNAME record:
  • Type: CNAME
  • Host / Name: www
  • Value / Points to: load.wcard.io
  • TTL: 10800 (3 hours)
This connects www.yourdomain.com to wCard.
Save your changes
Click Save / Add Record / Update (depending on your registrar).

Important notes (please read)
  • DNS propagation can take 24–48 hours. Sometimes it works sooner, but full global updates may take time.
  • Avoid conflicting records:
    • Your domain must not have another A record pointing to a different IP for the root (@).
    • Remove any AAAA records for the root if they point elsewhere (IPv6 can override expected routing on some networks).
  • If your registrar forces a value for Host, use @ for the root domain, and www for the CNAME.

Verify your DNS (optional but recommended)
You can check if your A record is visible globally using DNSChecker (A record lookup):
